Q A. Many Christians today claim that we live under grace and not under the law, quoting texts such as Rom. 6:14. There is no question that we live under grace, but the question is, what does it mean to live under grace and what meaning does it give to the law. As you studied Matthew and read through it you most likely noticed that it speaks a lot about the law and Jesus quotes a lot from the Old Testament Law. For the discussion this week think about Matthew’s teaching about the law and its application to people who live under grace. Does the law still apply and should we keep it? Or should we keep only some law? And if yes how do we choose which laws to keep? And what does it mean to be under grace in relationship to the law?
